In January 2007 the IIHF Continental Cup took place in Europe. What was different? They added pink. Players of the Hungarian team Alba Volan were given specially designed pink sticks to use in tournament play. The sticks then went to auction to raise money for breast cancer research. Famed Hungarian Actress Szonja Oroszlan became the face and spokesperson for the fundraiser during the tournament.

On January 27, 2007 WHEA held a tournamemt in support of breast cancer. TPS again made their event a success with pink sticks that would be used in play and then auctioned off for the American Cancer society.
